Things are finally in motion now. Well, sort of.
Yesterday I took the day off tutoring math and threw absolutely everything I own into the back of five cars and moved back into my parents' house! I know that sounds bad but some cars were smaller and had to come back for a second load. ha.
But believe me, my brothers gave me a hard time for having all this.. crap basically. It's not crap to ME of course. But after spending four hours just barely sorting through it all...
I'm kind of impressed that I somehow managed to hang on to all that stuff for nineteen years. Like the little baby shirt the hospital gave my mom after I was born. I think it's called a onesy, er onezy? one zee? whatever.
Point is, I had stuff like that just chillin in my drawers! I just happen to love random stuff I haven't even seen in ten years. My mom likes to throw the phrase 'pack rat' around like it's the newest thing since yolo. But I prefer the term 'attached' and 'sentimental'.
Not even kidding, I got rid of probably 3/4 of everything I own. But honestly I feel so much better having gone through everything before packing for California.
Having to fall asleep among all of the mountains of boxes and shelves randomly thrown into my parents spare room last night was hard. But only because I was dreading all of the work I would have to endure the next day.
I woke up in the middle of the night terrified that someone was standing by the side of my bed just watching me sleep when it was actually one of the STUPID shelves placed in the middle of the room. BAH.
Funny now, but so freaky when it happened! Took a good five minutes for me to realize where the heck I was anyway.
Now that I'm moved back in with my parents, I just need to send all of the unwanted junk to D.I. or asia or to pretty much anyone that will take it. And then buy a bunch of stuff that I really need but actually just want. Then finally start packing for a two week vaca to Lake Tahoe with the Hunt family! ;)
I really am so so excited to get going on this new little adventure that I'm embarking on, I just gotta hang out here and take care of all the little stuff. Two weeks in Lake Tahoe is exactly what I'm craving. The family have their own condo out there, and I think it will be really good bonding time with the kiddos.
Aside from figuring out how this whole online college thing is gonna work out while I'm in Cali, I haven't really hit too many speed bumps in planning for this. I'm thinking I'm going to finish my associate's degree through Weber State online, then start going to an alternative medicine university in cali or start a sweet internship with a naturopathic doctor or something. California is all about the alternative mumbo jumbo and that's just one more thing that I loooove about this whole set up. I've had my heart set on a degree in some type of alternative medicine for a while now, so I'm excited to see where I could end up.
Now that I actually have stuff to write about since August 14th is getting OH SO CLOSE... I will be better at updating this blog with all of my shinanigans. Or however it's spelled!
Peace, Love, and Blessin's!

It's Official
It's official! I'm starting my brand new, shiny, fancy, scary, exciting, unbelievable adventure. After all this time of wondering if I'll ever actually have anything worth telling future generations about my life, I can add one thing to the list: I'm picking up everything and heading to Beverly Hills California for an entire year! Why would I suddenly decide in one week to go through several hour-long phone conversations and track down random people from my childhood in order to jump on this opportunity you ask? Well, it was simple for me. I want something new. An adventure. Something I'd always wanted to do but was never sure if it was possible that something this AWESOME could happen to some random, poor college girl just trying to make it in the world. Ya know? Have you ever just been driving home late at night, and really wanted-more than anything-to just keep driving and start a completely new life in a brand new place where you can begin anything you want? I wanted that so much! I could taste it on the horizon! Haha. But seriously, this is possibly the chance of a lifetime. Okay, okay, I'll spit it out. I'm going to Beverly Hills to be a nanny! I'll be taking care of the three cutest kids you've ever seen and working with the greatest parents that are the most down-to-earth, and understanding people.
This family is really great and open to anything. They're paying for all flights, food, car, and giving me a room and bathroom of my own! It's a dream, and I can't wait to start.
I'm starting this blog so that I can actually have a chance to spill all my thoughts on here and give anyone a chance to take a look at all the adventures that happen to come my way! I leave for Lake Tahoe to set things off with this great family on their summer vacation at a condo there. Then I'll be flying back to Utah after a few weeks, get all of my stuff together that I want with me for a year, and fly out to L.A. to my future home. Totally fantastic? Yeah. You could say that.
I should have some pictures uploaded here of my family and friends in Utah before I start loading some of the pictures of the vacation in Lake Tahoe with the Hunt family.
Thanks to a great friend, prayer, and the right timing, everything has fallen into place for me to take this job. Here's to spontaneous life decisions! ;)
